About the Journal

The Arizona Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies strives to build bridges between arts, social sciences, humanities, and science through showcasing student interdisciplinary work. We are proud to display the wide variety of viewpoints and creative activities across the state of Arizona. In keeping with the University of Arizona’s mission as a public research university, this student-led journal will continue to serve as a forum for innovative scholarship and research on the region. The journal is available both in print and online.

 

Call for Submissions

We are seeking original undergraduate research from any field related to the humanities, social sciences or arts that captures the theme of “Looking Forward.” The chosen work will be published in the Fall 2017 issue of the Arizona Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies. Academic research pieces should be under 7,000 words, and organized in professional research format, following Chicago Manual of Style guidelines for citations (https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/717/01/). Creative pieces will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Submission Deadline: May 7, 2016

Submission Instructions: Please email your work to AZ.Journal.IS@gmail.com by May 7, 2017. Include ‘Research Submission 2017-2018: /Your Name/’ in the subject line.

You will be notified of our selections by mid-summer, 2017. The issue will be published in mid-fall 2017.
